Custom Wedding Menus: How to Order Yours

The menu is one of those wedding pieces guests hold in their hand through the whole dinner: it's worth having it match the rest of the event's stationery instead of being generic. Here's how the process works to order yours custom at Yume.

What information we need

To quote, we need: the number of menus (usually one per guest or per table, depending on how you want to set it up), the exact text for each one (the dishes, in serving order), and whether you have a style or visual reference in mind: especially if you want it to match the invitations or other stationery you're already ordering for the same event.

It also helps to know the wedding date and whether the menu will stand alone (one card per place setting) or come together with other details, like the guest's name or assigned table.

The design and approval process

With your details, we put together a design proposal and send it to you as a digital proof. You can request adjustments before approving it: it's much easier to fix the order of the dishes or a color at this stage than after the menus are already printed.

Once you approve the final design, it goes to production. If you're also ordering invitations or other stationery for the same wedding, everything can be coordinated under the same design line so it reads as one set, not separate pieces.

When to start requesting a quote

Since the menu is usually confirmed once your catering is locked in, it tends to get quoted a bit later than invitations: but it's still worth doing with time to spare, so there's room to adjust the design without rushing production or shipping.

Reach out with the type of event, the approximate date, and the quantity you estimate you'll need, and we'll build the quote from there.
